experience level in excess of 25 years. Our testing lab
includes equipment that can load up to 500,000 lbs of pressure

Geotechnical Engineering
Geotechnical studies examine subsurface conditions for the purpose of determining the most cost effective recommendations for foundations, slope stability, pavement design, and site development. ICI personnel have in excess of 20 years experience with geotechnical engineering in California. Geotechnical studies completed by our staff include schools, hospitals, and high-rise structures for residential, commercial, state, and federal projects.

Testing & Inspection
Our testing and inspection division provides construction materials sampling, testing, inspection and quality control for a variety of commercial, state, federal, school, and hospital construction projects. ICI is recognized by the State of California, Division of the State Architect (DSA), Office of Regulation Services (ORS), Government Services Administration (GSA), and Office of Project Development and Management (OPDM) for providing professional services during construction of numerous state and federal buildings. Our facilities are operated in strict compliance with ASTM Standard E-329 (Recommended Practices for Independent Testing and Inspection Agencies). Experienced ICBO, ACI, AWS, and ASME certified personnel provide services under direct supervision of registered professional engineers.

Non-Destructive Testing
Inspection Consultants, Inc. provides a full range of Non-Destructive Testing Services for field and laboratory applications. Our fully equipped mobile dark rooms are set up to provide immediate Radiography/X-Ray testing results, in addition to magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and liquid penetrant testing methods. ICI provides services to the oil and gas industry, utilities, chemical, and power plants throughout California and Canada. These services range from the testing and evaluation of refinery process equipment and piping to radiography of pipe welds for natural gas, oil, and water uses, as well as non-destructive testing of storage tanks, elevated post-tensioned slabs, and castings. Our personnel are certified in accordance with ASNT (American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) and are fully trained and experienced to provide exceptional service in most applications.
Electrical & Mechanical
Our Electrical & Mechanical Division provides electrical and mechanical testing, inspection, and consulting services to a variety of industries. These services are provided to a full range of clients both nationally and internationally. Services include electrical and mechanical equipment review, product testing, and consulting services.
Specialty Testing
Our Specialty Testing Division provides a variety of services for commercial and government related projects. These services include concrete floor flatness evaluation, H20 backflow and pressure testing, masonry shear testing, diamond bit coring, seismic evaluation testing, paint evaluation and coating testing, and expert witness testimony
Vibration Monitoring
Our Portable Vibration Monitoring equipment is used by vibration consultants, blasters, and mining operators. The vibration monitoring equipment is a
miniature seismograph that monitors ground vibrations. Common uses for the vibration monitoring equipment include monitoring pile driving operations and analyzing vibrations around sensitive electronic equipment or building structures.
Some of the recent projects which have required vibration monitoring include the historic Hyatt Sainte Claire Hotel in San Jose and the Empire Parkway Center in Alameda. The Hyatt Sainte Claire Hotel required these services due to a fear of structural damage from ground vibrations caused by the driving of piles for a new hotel adjacent to the structure. The Empire Center required these services to protect sensitive electronic equipment from vibrations caused by driving grout pipes with track drills.
